Oklahoma Lt. Governor's Office
Press Release

Lt. Governor Lamb Completes 77 County Tour in 77 Days
Oklahoma City– Lt. Governor Todd Lamb announced today that with his visits in Hughes and Pittsburg counties he has completed his tour of all 77 counties within the first 77 days of the year. This tour marks the Lt. Governor’s fifth official tour of all 77 counties as Lt. Governor and his seventh tour during his professional career.
“It has been and will continue to be my commitment to be accountable and accessible to the people of Oklahoma,” said Lt. Governor Lamb. “This tour once again has given the people of Oklahoma an opportunity to share their voice about Oklahoma in the convenience of where they live and work without having to come all the way to Oklahoma City.”
This year’s tour included stops at local businesses, schools, county courthouses, and tourism destinations. During the 77 county in 77 days tour, Lamb held dozens of town hall public forums. As the Lt. Governor traveled the state, he routinely asked citizens what challenges they were facing that impeded economic growth.
Lewetta Hefley, Superintendent of Felt Public Schools, said, “I thank the Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit community members, parents, teachers and students in Felt, Oklahoma. The community of Felt is closer to two other state capitals than we are to Oklahoma City. It is truly a blessing and an honor for the Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor to visit our remote area of the state.”
Ryan Posey, President of HSI Sensing, said, “The entire HSI Sensing team considered it a great honor to have the opportunity to show the Lt. Governor our business and the great things we are doing as well as discuss how he can help us, in his role as small business advocate, be even more successful as a business and as a state.”
Horace Lindley, Town Administrator of Gore, said, “Todd Lamb has consistently shown interest in our part of the state. He has always helped us when needed. He cares and gets results.”

City to collect debris in the declared storm-damaged areas
(March 27, 2015) - Oklahoma City Solid Waste Management crews will remove March 25 storm debris during regular bulk waste collections and during special collection efforts beginning March 30 in the declared storm- damaged areas.
Residential customers (no commercial or contractor waste) in the declared storm- damaged areas may take storm debris – such as tree limbs, brush and fencing – to the curb in three piles:
- Tree and brush debris
- Household hazardous waste & propane tanks
- Freon-containing items. Remove doors and food.
The declared storm-damaged areas include:
- Reno to NW 23, Council Rd to MacArthur
- SW 134 to SW 104, May Ave to Santa Fe
A map of the storm-damaged areas is attached.
For some areas, bulk waste collection was recently completed or will be conducted next month. For that reason, there will be no early set out penalty for storm debris in the declared storm debris areas only.
All normal bulk waste rules apply in areas not affected by the March 25 storm. The first four cubic yards are free, but residents will be charged $10.11 for each cubic yard over four, which is about the size of two refrigerators.
For residential customers filing insurance claims, all storm debris will be removed by insurance companies.
If you have questions about bulk waste or storm debris, please call Oklahoma City Utilities Customer Service at 297-2833.
