STATE OF IDAHO OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE BEN YSURSA For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 28, 2014 Contact: Office of the Secretary of State, Election Division (208) 334-2852 PRESS RELEASE Secretary of State, Ben Ysursa, reminded voters that the last day to submit an application for a mail-in absentee ballot is this Wednesday, October 29th and that the last day for early voting is this Friday, October 31st. Voters have until 5pm tomorrow to request a mail-in absentee ballot from their County Clerk so that a ballot can be mailed to the voter and returned to the county by 8pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th. Applicants must be registered in Idaho and submit a written request with their name, residence address and signature. Application forms are available from the county clerk’s offices or online at idahovotes.gov. Friday, October 31st is the last day for early voting. Contact your county clerk for the early voting location in your county. Voters can look up their polling place location and get answers to their voting questions, including the personal identification requirement and acceptable forms of identification, online at idahovotes.gov. Secretary Ysursa said, “The last day for absentee ballot requests is Wednesday and early voting closes Friday. I encourage all voters to participate in the coming general election either by absentee voting or by voting at their polling place next Tuesday, November 4th. Participation is the essence of democracy and every vote counts in Idaho.”

St. Luke's Public Testimony to be Heard April 7 & 14
Due to the anticipated significant interest, the Boise City Council will hear public testimony on the proposed updated St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center Campus Master Plan over two evening meetings.
At their Tuesday, April 7 meeting, council members will only hear presentations from city planning and development staff, St. Luke’s representatives and impacted neighborhood associations.
Then, on Tuesday, April 14, the council will take all public testimony from the general public.
Both meetings are open for public attendance and will be streamed online at http://boisecityid.iqm2.com/Citizens/Default.aspx. Those unable to attend can also submit comment to the council via email at citycouncil@cityofboise.org.\

________________________________________________________________________ NAMPA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE March 19, 2015 Nampa Idaho- A suspected DUI driver strikes a pedestrian exiting a vehicle in the 800 block of South Florence in Nampa on March 18. On 03-18-2015 at approximately 6:03 P.M., Nampa Police received a report of a possible DUI driver that was traveling west on Amity Road from the area of Happy Valley Road. A witness had described a black Ford truck swerving into oncoming traffic and forcing other motorists off the road. A Nampa Police officer observed the suspect vehicle on Amity Road as they passed each other going opposite directions. The officer attempted to turn around to try to find the vehicle to stop it. The Ford truck had turned off on a side street as the officer turned around. Shortly after turning off Amity, the suspect struck a 19-year-old female with his truck as she was standing next to her parked vehicle in the 800 block of S. Florence. The officer was able to make a traffic stop of the suspect in the same block. The victim is a Nampa resident. She sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 46-year-old Nampa resident Francisco A Lopez showed signs of alcohol impairment at the crash and was arrested at the scene for DUI. Lopez had two prior convictions for DUI and had a suspended driver’s license. Due to the previous DUI convictions, and the extent of the victim’s injuries, Lopez was booked into the Canyon County Jail for aggravated DUI, and driving on a suspended license. CONSTRUCTION NOTICE – HITT ROAD SINGLE LANE CLOSURES & DETOURS
MARCH 26, 2015 LEAVE A COMMENT
Idaho Falls, ID: During construction improvements on 25th East (Hitt Road), from Sunnyside Road south to 49th (Township), there will be periodic night traffic restrictions consisting of single lane closures (8:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) or detours (9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.) throughout the remainder of the project. Effective today, March 26.
The project is scheduled for completion in July.
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and local business traffic within the project area.
Construction activities will also require day and night speed reductions within the project limits. Reduce speeds, use caution and obey posted road signs while traveling through this project.
