FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE IHSSN and IHSAA Renew Partnership Boone, IA (October 20, 2014) – The IHSAA (Iowa High School Athletic Association recently announced the renewal of its partnership with the IHSSN (Iowa High School Sports Network). The renewal features a 3-year extension through 2018-2019 with an automatic extension through 2023-2024. The IHSSN retains the rights to the following state championship events: Baseball at Principal Park, Football at UNI Dome, Wrestling at Wells Fargo Arena, Basketball at Wells Fargo Arena, Track at Drake Stadium, and Soccer at Cownie Field. In 2006 the IHSSN became the exclusive single source for the IHSAA state tournament television broadcasts, webcasts, radio broadcasts, signage, on-site promotions, on-site displays and on-site game management which includes the LED displays at the various state tournament venues. Through this joint effort, the production of the aforementioned Iowa high school state championships have resulted in some of the best tournament experiences in the entire nation for student/athletes, coaches, fans, and communities. “The quality control and comprehensive approach that the IHSSN provides is second to none, and our member schools are the direct benefactors of those efforts,” said Brett Nanninga, Associate Director of the IHSAA.” “Furthermore, we are proud of our relationship with the IHSSN and look forward to more of the excellence that has already been produced; knowing that the best is yet to come.” Ken Krogman, President of the IHSSN commented, "The IHSSN is very excited to continue our partnership with the IHSAA.
